The Mission of the HL Palmer Angel Fund:

The members of HL Palmer Lodge No 301 in Wauwatosa, WI are pleased to provide the Masonic Angel Fund™. The Masonic Angel Fund™ provides modest assistance to needy children who do not fit the criteria for the usual social-service programs. Such assistance might be to provide necessary items and services such as:

• Eyeglasses
• Scholarships to after school or summer programs
• Book club membership
• Eyeglass repairs
• Minor health services
• Basic Clothing
• Field trip fees
• Minor dental services
• Seasonal outerwear
• School supplies
• Bicycle repairs
• Shoes or sneakers
• Books
• Other appropriate needs

Applications for assistance will be fulfilled via confidential requests from local elementary school principals. If you have a student in your school who you feel may have a need which is not being addressed by parents or existing social services, simply telephone any one of the Masons below to apply for a Masonic Angel Fund™ grant. Each is authorized to act on behalf of the Fund.

In providing these services, it is HL Palmer Lodge’s intention not to have direct contact with the child or family. Our preferred mode of delivery is to receive a request from the principal and work with the principal to fulfill the stated need in the timeliest manner possible. Thus far, we have been able to respond to requests within a few hours.

For example, if you discover a child that needs a winter coat simply make your request known to the Trustees who will issue a check to the principal in an appropriate amount.

In cases where professional services (i.e. medical, dental, optical…etc.) we will work with the school to make available our numerous sources of this nature. Some of the Masons are health care professionals, so there is an excellent chance we may be able to arrange donation of services or services at a vastly reduced fee.

The money needed to support this fund will be managed separately from our Lodge’s assets and will be collected through private and corporate donations as well as other fund raising activities. The HL Palmer Masonic Angel Fund is a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation and all donations are tax deductible.

One of the fundamental principles of the Masonic Angel Fund™ program is that 100% of the money raised by a local Lodge's Masonic Angel Fund™ stays in that community and goes to the kids. All overhead of the local MAF is covered by the sponsoring Lodge from its operating budget. There are few charity programs anywhere that can make such a claim.
